Nibiru Update #50 - New Year and Shipping!
over 4 years ago – Sat, Dec 21, 2019 at 01:36:27 PM

Hi Vagabonds!

Christmas is looming on us and so another update is due! Last time I wrote about the delays we had with the local printer, which we've been pushing for weeks now to get them to deliver. Fortunately, last wednesday, they did so for the last remaining adventure, and now all of the rewards are in the warehouse! Yay!

At the moment, the GQ team are going back and forth with me to make sure everything is set for fulfillment, and packing up rewards accordingly. A couple of you might have received emails to add a few details reg. shipping, and we appreciated the quick response! We are set to ship out rewards on the 30th of December, and to give you an idea of the timeframes, expect for shipments within the UK to arrive after about 4 business days, while for the rest of the world we are looking at 10-14 business days (some less, depending on the size of the package and thus the carrier we'll be using).

I thank you all for your patience and the words of encouragement, since the whole process of printing the adventures and the maps was a bit of a nightmare, full of unexpected twists and turns (given that everything was supposed to be delivered for Dragonmeet, which was on the 30th of November). We'll now start shifting into preparations for the game's general launch, during January, meaning we'll be all set on pushing Nibiru on social media and getting it ready for the coming year.

That's it for today! I'll be updating you at least once before the next monthly update :) I cannot wait to seeing folk get their product! I wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year :D

See you soon, Vagabonds!

Nibiru Update #49 - Early December Update
over 4 years ago – Tue, Dec 10, 2019 at 02:36:53 PM

Hi Vagabonds!

I wanted to drop a line here because we were expecting to have shipped by now, and the past two weeks have been a sort of logistical hell on our end with Solopress (the company that is printing the maps and adventures for Nibiru).

The idea is that this company was going to get everything printed for Dragonmeet, and they only fulfilled half of that. They tend to be quite quick, but from the get go they started to delay shipment of the product until yesterday. So far, they've sent through the maps and one of the three adventures (with the last two supposedly arriving tomorrow).

I've been fighting with them over the phone during the past ten days due to that, since it also meant that folk who had adventures backed and came to get their rewards in Dragonmeet couldn't pick up the entirety of their rewards. At each instance of delay, they've done so by 2-3 days, meaning that I've received the pesky "your shipment has been delayed" for these last two adventures in particular about four times now. Tomorrow I'll check with the warehouse to make sure that they received the adventures, get them sent over to mine to make sure everything is a-ok to ship them out with the rest to you.

This has been a true hassle; I'm sorry for the delay y'all. It also means that the general release date we had planned, which was going to be the 12th of this month, will have to be pushed.

I'll update you once again as soon as I have relevant news. In the meantime, I've seen Nibiru has gotten some really nice reviews around :) I'm super excited to see people with the book in their hands! Hold tight!

See you soon,

Federico

Nibiru Update #48 - Dragonmeet
over 4 years ago – Sun, Dec 01, 2019 at 09:39:15 AM

Hiyo Vagabonds!

Dragonmeet is now past us, and we're pretty happy with the results :) so I wanted to weigh in on how everything went, and what are the plans for the future.

Not gonna lie; last week was pretty trash, since the printing service we tend to rely on locally to turn around stuff fast delayed our order in several instances. Although they managed to get the maps to us in time for the convention, the adventures didn't make it (and will be delivered to us on Monday). Even with that, we managed to fulfill about twenty something orders for backers during the con, as well as selling a lot of stuff, chatting about the game, generating interest, etc.

With those adventures in, we'll be ready to ship out rewards during this week. I've already updated the files for fulfillment, and I'll be sending out an update to let you know as soon as those are go.

We also managed to chat about the prospects for UK Games Expo. I had a hotel reservation to head over there, since it'll be the last convention I attend to in Europe, yet I was hesitant to actually run a stand due to the high price. However, between the amount of interest and excitement I saw at Dragonmeet, and the fact that we have the option to share stand space with friends at the RP Haven (an awesome charity org that runs several RPG club branches in the UK) I'm almost certain we'll be able to be there next year :)

The next update should find us having fulfilled backers orders, and give us a chance to reflect on the project's run and what the future for Araukana will bring :0

Stay tuned, Vagabonds!

Nibiry Update #47 - Hot Off the Press !
over 4 years ago – Wed, Nov 20, 2019 at 10:06:27 PM

Hi Vagabonds!

The 20th is here and I wanted to send y'all an update on how things are going :) today I received the preview copies of the book and the screen. This is great news, since I got to see how everything looks (pretty great indeed!) and to test out the screen's pocket, to make sure the adventures are correctly formated. It all seems good to go as it seems, and on Monday the warehouse will be receiving the product to ship out. Here are a couple of pictures from the printer:

Here's the preview ones I got from home. The black in the title is pretty slick!

The one thing I'm a bit unhappy about is that the biiiiig foldable map (which looks awesome) faded out in Antumbra a bit too soon (see the picture below). Still, it's a minor detail (since the actual map for Antumbra is actually featured in Chapter 2) and that's probably my biggest gripe.

The foldable map is pretty impressive though :) we can proudly say to have one of the largest maps in TTRPGs!

As said in the previous update, I'll be taking copies for fulfillment to Dragonmeet so if any of you are attending and want to pick it up there, make sure to let me know by Monday, since by that time I'll need to file in the list of people that are getting theirs posted, and those who will pick it up at the convention, so that we can ship them ASAP :)

You can let me know if you wanna pick it up by emailing [email protected]

To put the pin on more dates and let you know of other stuff, the pre-orders are now closed and we'll be getting all digital products up via DTRPG and Modiphius on the 12th of December (this for all of y'all who were asking for that DTRPG link!). Now that I have the screen and the format is confirmed to work out, I can adapt it as needed and send out the PDFs for the regional adventures :) those should be with you next week!

For all those who are coming to Dragonmeet, I'm super looking forward to see you, and to those I won't see, I hope you have a great end of the month. I'll be updating you soon regarding shipment :)

Stay tuned, Vagabonds!

Nibiru Update #46 - Weekend Reads!
over 4 years ago – Sat, Nov 09, 2019 at 09:18:32 AM

Hi Vagabonds!

I wanted to throw out this quick update to let you know, in case it flew past you, that the corebook PDFs have been sent out to all :) I'm super happy with everyone's response for the product, and cannot wait for you to get your hands on the physical one.

Over the next few days we should be sending out the PDF adventures :) I'm currently waiting on the screen proof so that I can be absolutely sure the adventures fit neatly in the screen's pocket. Here's a picture of how it should work, sent over last week from the printer:

Remember that we'll be at Dragonmeet this year, so if you wanna pick up your rewards there, make sure to send me an email over to [email protected]

Will write to you soon! Enjoy your weekend read :) and let us know about the stories you'll tell!
