Nibiru Update #33 - End of January Update!
over 5 years ago – Wed, Jan 23, 2019 at 10:36:06 PM

Hey y'all!

I wanted to chime in to tell you how things are shaping up for Nibiru :)

I've commissioned the cuneiform dice from China, and production of the mold and the sample should be done by February 24th (due to the Chinese New Year!). Then, apparently production of all the dice should take fifteen days, so all good on the dice front!

Editing work is going stellar :) I've released the intro chapter and the rules chapter, all laid out and edited to backers already, and I'll do the best to have the Vagabonds chapter done by the second week of February. That would mean that, with the Vagabonds rules and the Storytelling Engines chapter done, you should be able to start playing! YAY!

Art-wise, I'm commissioning the big pieces for the cities of Suruptu, Nataku and Ashur that you'll see in the maps. There's still work to do and several illustrations to commission, specially thanks to you unlocking the extra art stretch goal!

Me personally, I'm working to finalize the Antumbra setting chapter before I move onto the unlocked Torus Corridor chapter :) that should be done by the end of this week!

One thing to note is that I'll soon be opening our Backerkit page. This is not just so that y'all can get your stuff shipped once made available, but also so that many of the people who didn't have the chance to back due to holiday hardship get their opportunity (many of them did an awesome effort to promote the campaign during December!).

That's all for today! Let me know if you have any questions, and take good care :)

Nibiru Update #31 - First Days!
over 5 years ago – Tue, Jan 08, 2019 at 09:39:57 AM

Hello Vagabonds!

The new year has come and passed, and I wanted to give you an update on how things are shaping up at the moment :)

I've messaged backers whose payments haven't gone through, but the vast majority has been processed, and should soon be with us. The coming days will see me mostly setting up a platform for Araukana, to better administer payments to our artists, to the dice producers, the printing company, etc :)

I've reached out and sealed deals with several artists, that will help our main core with tackling the final pieces to ensure the art part of the project is done diligently. Their production will be set in motion once we receive the KS funds.

As noted before, I expect to send all backers a preview (like the one on Christmas!) for the rules chapter. Bar the Vagabonds chapter, this one chapter contains all rules you need to play, so you could technically start playing with it :)

I'm also delineating the details of our Narrators' Screen. Due to the fact that the Nibiru core rules are super slim, there's not that much of a need for rules reference stuff. With that in mind, I've quoted several different alternatives for a Narrators' Screen with transparent sleeves. This means you'll be able to use one (or several) panels of this screen to "sleeve" your game's notes, your super-duper plans for the story, and all the information pertinent to your particular game. I've personally always found that it's more important for me to be able to reference my notes more than the rules of the game, so hopefully y'all enjoy that detail :)

Many people have been asking about our plans with regards to pre-orders, late pledges, etc. At the moment, I'm focused on the above, so that we have a well structured platform to administer our resources, and then we'll be able to say when is it that we'll implement what. All I can say for now is... stay tuned! And don't stop writing me to [email protected] or via KS with all your questions :)

Remember you can also reach out to the community and me via our discord.

Have an awesome start of the year!

Nibiru Update #30 - WE DID IT!
over 5 years ago – Fri, Jan 04, 2019 at 01:39:47 PM

Vagabonds!

The campaign is now funded and we are ready for the next chapter. The following months will see us finishing with production, and answering any questions that need answering :).

As always, you can expect me to update you at every step of the way. I'm thoroughly humbled by your support, and cannot wait to share what we've been working on for the last two years!

In the meantime, remember that we have the Nibiru Quick Start Guide to download at DTRPG, which you can take a look at to get a feel for the game (and to run a quick session!).

There's also our Discord channel if you want to hop in and have a chat :)

And we've also uploaded, for all backers, the first chapter of the book—which you can see in this update.

I'll be off now to celebrate the new year, but as always, feel free to ask any questions in the comments and even pester me in my email ([email protected]).

Happy new year!

Federico

Nibiru Update #29 - The Last Hour
over 5 years ago – Tue, Jan 01, 2019 at 02:36:54 PM

Vagabonds!

This is the last hour reminder :) the Kickstarter campaign will finish in sixty minutes. Meaning you have that amount of time to make any changes to your rewards.

See you on the other side!
